A last photo of our roos

It’s 6.41am on Wednesday morning in Donnybrook, Western Australia, and once I post this, I’ll need to move myself and wash the last of the floors before locking the doors and heading to our new home in Treeby, a suburb of Perth. This is probably the last photo I’ll take of one of ‘our’ kangaroos. We have had a lot of pleasure from them over the 18 years we’ve lived here. You can see this doe has a joey developing in her tummy. Behind her is the ‘sheep station’, a shelter for the various pet sheep we’ve had over the years. The removalist picked up most of the furniture yesterday. This morning he’ll call in for our bed and the last box or two. We’ll leave before him to meet the agent in Treeby and pick up the keys to our new house. Wish us luck.

Thanks very much. I lost my computer mouse in the move but that's a very small thing except that I couldn't post till I got a new one.

It’s probably a sad time for you as well as an exciting time for you. I know you’ll cherish all your memories of the last 18 years, but now you can go create new memories in Treeby. Instead of posting photos of your kangaroos, you can post photos of your neighbors! Haha

Downsizing is tough. I am planning to move to old age home. My list, induction cooker, few vessels, wonderchef, small fridge, airfrying unit, plates and glasses. Airconditioner, TV. I am not sure I can accommodate our sofa there, but computer will have to be taken. I will be too old for laptop. LOL

Good luck moving in to your new home. If I understood right this is a more urbanized part of the country? Good luck on the neighborhood too, hope you would be surrounded by very good people.

I love that you posted 1 final picture of a roo, its just so classy-thank you. I can tell that she is carrying a joey. Good luck at the new place, I know that once you get settled you will be more at ease and probably catch up on some well deserved rest. Organising and packing is hard work.

I wish you the best of luck in new home since it is possible that my relatives will have to move soon due to the damages that our home took from the recent floods that passed through my neighborhood eight days ago.
