I feel the times have changed and there is no way things...

... would go back to the way they were. At this very moment, I was thinking so deeply about the current situation. I do accept the real fact of what is going on in my country and the rest of the countries. For example, the ability of kids to socialize nowadays is less than perfect because they cannot go to school physically and so on. Most people's thinking change with their current times. Now is as clear as day. I just missed the old days before this chaotic situation. In your humble opinion, how people live their lives nowadays? Do you see things differently now? In some ways things have changed, but not by that much... Most kids didn't really socialize at school now anyway. Even when they are with their friends, they are all on their phones, not talking to each other. And have you noticed what they call "dating" now? My daughter and her boyfriend "date" by watching a movie, her here in our house and him in his house. They watch the same movie at the same time and talk to each other while watching it. People younger than them do it that way here, too. It's weird! Do young people in your country "date" like that, too? Or is it just in the US?

No dating allowed here for the kids. We donot have a culture like you have western countries. You can say we are bit conservative. Yes my kids want to socialise they want to go out and play with the kids outside. Here mobile phones are not allowed in the schools and colleges. Even we don't allow the kids to use mobile phones at home.

@DaddyEvil and that's not good for the health of the kids and eye sight also. I know when you give a mobile phone to a kid he/she won't disturb you and play alone on it. But that's not good.

@sjvg1976 Oh, wow! I didn't know that. Here, kids as young as 5 years old have their own cell phones. Even expensive ones. (I think parents are crazy to give them to them that young, but the parents use them as babysitters. As long as the kids have cell phones, the parents can ignore them. The kids just watch videos and text with each other.)

Yes things have changed alot after the pandemic. People usually scare of going out. Kids don't play in the park and are not even allowed to go out of their home. I also miss those days when I used to go to the park along with my kids and used to play with them. Now there are only memories of those things.

People here never stopped going outside and to the parks to play. Most places here didn't go into lockdown so no restrictions. A lot of them never even wore masks or social distanced.

@sjvg1976 That's the way it's been here during the entire pandemic. Most people never stopped living like before the pandemic started. That's the reason the US has had so many deaths.

Well. Nothing changed here too much. Now that we are not in lockdown anymore and more people are getting the vaccine. Schools are starting physically here especially the kinder garden. Kids are still enjoying playing soccer outside, riding bike, skateboarding and many other.

@dgobucks226 So true, and let us make the most and the best of whatever comes our way. Of course, one day things will be so much better and all bad things will be like a bad dream.

Indeed, it is not healthy to whine about it. Being a whiner cannot help but needs the real action of moving forward.

I am always hopeful, too. I just want to be free walking without any fear outside. In the meantime, we need to do these health protocols.

I am used working at home for more than 7 years now. There is no need to adjust to being with them. My only concern is going out of the house. Even if they require 1 meter apart from the people, I prefer 2 meters when being outside to buy something.

It is different now. I never felt so isolated yet for a year living inside your home with only your immediate family only. Before I like staying at home most of the days but now it seems a bit suffocating staying indoors and the need to go out and enjoy other places are what I am looking for. But I am looking forward that those things would go back to where they were as we are resilient people and will overcome this in time.

@Shavkat I guess the feeling that you are ordered to stay indoors when things seem to be okay outside is what makes it uneasy about staying indoors. You can see the sun is shining and the breeze is inviting but you cannot just go outside without wearing a mask to protect yourself from an invisible killer.

I have been working at home for more than seven years now. It is fine to be in this situation. However, I cannot brisk walking every day because of the current situation.

We cannot deny there is a worldwide health issue. We had to continually adjust (and still) but safely, in order to live, and ultimately move forward. It isn't easy and I can understand how people are anxious to get "back to normal". However, humans can be so impatient . . . they are prematurely pushing for the old way of life before we have even tackled this virus situation. Is it any wonder why this worldly situation continues? I think eventually humans can get back to living "normally" - history shows that - but we are not at that point yet.

It cannot be denied that some people are so impatient. The ending is that they got infected. They cannot even wait for the availability of vaccines fully. At some point, they are making it as a business.

I feel sorry for the students in this generation. it's bad enough to experience the horrible traffic, now they are confined inside their homes for almost a year now. Im sure things will go back to normal once the virus is gone. But that will take a while.

I agree. It will take a long time that they can go back to school physically. I am sure that things will be fine soon now that they started to administer vaccines to our fellowmen.

Now, we are living a pandemic, this is a hard time. My parents lived during WWII, my grandparents lived during WWI and WWII, do you think it was better than our days? Hidden in the basement when they were bombed? This will pass and life will be exactly as it was before.

@LadyDuck You have a point. I cannot imagine how they survive at that time. Lately, I had read that this virus can be used as a tool for war at present.

In some way, there is some impact during that time and now. I bow my head to them for surviving WWI and WWII. Now, we cannot see the enemy because the virus is indistinct in the air.

@Shavkat Also the gas that some bombs dispersed in the air was an invisible enemy. We are lucky that we can stay at home and feel protected. We should not complain so much because we have to wear a mask and stay inside... look around and look at all those population who have to quit their country because the bombs have destroyed everything... this is the present: Syria, Libya, some African countries. Now they have the virus and the bombs, but they do not care about the virus, they need first to find some food to eat to survive.

We can long for the past but they are just memories to look back on. There have been good and bad in those times although we tend to focus on what was good and forget the bad. Life is forever changing and progressing and we cannot hold it back. We must accept the changes and move on and look to better days ahead. Because in life's journey those bad days will eventually fade and good times will come again.
