Yesterday I did something I wished I had someone do to me. I just about made a friend use a chainsaw, yes it was scary to her but the first time with that kind of power in you hand always is. I was yelling like a drill sergeant but with encouragement. I really think she enjoyed it.

If it wasn't for Robert teaching me, I would never have learned, I am thankful. What are you thankful for?

Oh no! Another Alabaman with a chainsaw in her hands! I am thankful for a good husband, food on the table, a roof over my head and money to pay the bills. Have a good week.

Good for you for supervising and helping her to learn how to use this tool. I am thankful that I finally can make it to our son's home that they moved to last summer without using the app on my phone to find their place. I am terrible with directions.

I have a lot of tools here that I need to learn to use, courtesy of my son. I agree that learning a new skill is very empowering.

I think I would've wet my pants if I'd been her. I don't like power tools. I'm thankful everyday that my kritters and I wake up alive and healthy.

Chainsaws are scary. Simply thankful it is warming back up here again. 40s at the end of May is just very wrong

Not for me, I would probably end up minus a foot. I think it is wonderful though that you pushed your friend into trying it. I am sure the rush of impowerment filled her with desire to try other things.

we have taught all our boys to use one, the girls do not and I do not. Sometimes I think I want to though
