We've been away at a horse endurance ride

We are in Ravensthorpe at the moment just a half-hour’s drive off the south coast of Western Australia. We are attending a horse endurance ride and have taken photos this afternoon at the vet check.
However, it is a very sad day as our sister-in-law lost her battle with multiple myeloma today. We had been expecting this news and had been to see her in hospital just before we headed south. Her husband, Vince’s brother, was adamant that we not change our plans to attend the ride.
It is very sad. They have two daughters in Western Australia and another who lives in England. As things stand at the moment, the one in England will not be able to come home for the funeral.
The photo is of two horses enjoying a roll in the sand after they finished their 20km ride. Such activity is the equivalent of a shower for humans.

So sorry. She is pain free now. Hope the daughter can get permission to come home.
Horses would love that spot.

@JudyEv My kids had a pony that would try that even in a mud hole. So I kept a lead rope on her to make her come through it.

@wolfgirl569 Ponies drop quickly if they suddenly decide they want to roll.

Sorry to know of your sister-in-law's loss.
The horses look like enjoying the roll in the sand. Looks like this place is not very cold at this time.
Or is it?
They do deserve such an enjoyment after a 20 Km ride!

@LindaOHio I hope so too. We are away every second weekend but that shouldn't impact on my myLotting too much.

@JudyEv Poor guy. This has to be really hard on him, given how close he was to his little brother, and I'm sure, his sister-in-law as well.
