Jack -Fruit is quite popular in many parts of the world and locally it's called kathar but to be frank I have never tasted it. I am not sure why my parents never tried it and when I was away from my parents I never planned to try it either but now I am planning to try it someday and will see how I can have it because I came to know about lots of Good things about it. Do you like Jack Fruit? How do you prepare it?

We have jack fruit trees and this is the time to harvest. Due to lockdown we could not get anyone but our neighbour harvested a few and we distributed.

I have been used to it from young. The fruit can be eaten fresh and also I like it cooked with jaggery/brown/cane sugar. We make a dish with its nuts too. All are delicious.

I love jackfruit. It can be eaten as is. But where I'm from we sometimes include it in both sweet and savory dishes. One that comes to mind is "Turon" a deep-fried banana roll.

I have seen it on fruit trays, but never actually tried it myself, so I do not know how it tastes. It was on the tray just sliced, so I take it you eat it that way.
