Our sister-in-law was buried in Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park on Saturday. The Park is often touted as the most environmentally responsible cemetery in Australia. It has been developed and maintained as natural bushland and is planted only with native species. There is a chapel and a number of areas for graves. There are no monuments but each grave is marked by a flat bronze plaque.
The area is a haven for many native animals and we saw a great many kangaroos resting and feeding on the green areas. Once people leave a new grave, the kangaroos move in to eat the flowers so now a wire cage is placed over new graves and removed after a few days.
Kerry loved the bush and is buried quite close to her grandson who died of a brain tumour when he was seven. I'm sure she would approve of her final resting place.

My sincere condolences again. I can see a lot many Kangaroos in the picture.
Surely a place that they also enjoy!
