This may be my Dr. Suess year

I innocently started driving down my driveway-access road, heading to town. Whoa! Neighbor had cut down limbs from a large dead tree. Fine. A bunch of those limbs was on the road. Thanks heaps. We had Rufus in the car. Over 95 outside. I got out and not in a nice mood, either. A guy came running out from behind a wooden fence. He says he is helping the neighbors and hadn't seen the huge mess that he'd created. He got the road unblocked and we headed out. Rufus appeared to be okay. Got back home, innocently looked at Facebook. Renter was trying to message me: you mind if we put a bid on a house?? If he gets that house then he will start the process of not being our renter. Nice of him to ask. I told hubby and he said the obvious: we can not and will not move over in the winter. That mountain Pass demands respect in the winter. Otherwise we could be good to......go?? By November maybe. So..... which way is up and which way is down and what will we do next?

Maybe they won't get the house. They could have talked to you about it.

@CarolDM In a big way, this could be good. We've been trying to figure how to get the renters to move when we are ready to head over there for good.

Blocking the roadway with limbs? Someone wasn't being very thoughtful, of others who use that road! Moving in the winter is next to impossible:(

@kobesbuddy People do go from west side to east side during the winter- and gripe when its snowy and they get into an accident.

@sallypup If they have been forewarned, then it's up to them to avoid any mishaps.

At least he didn't wait until the day his rent was due to tell you he was moving...That is what the last ahole who lived here did. I have real mixed feelings about having renters...I would love to get rid of this guy, but the rent helps out a lot! I think I may raise it, and if he doesn't want to pay it bye, bye. I guess you will have to see what transpires over the next couple of months.

@sallypup It isn't the best. I mean he is a nice person..but is here in my face 24/7..and is somebody who in my opinion,,..should not be living independently. He should be in a more structured setting.

@snowy22315 Your situation doesn't sound very good. This renter is not a saint but he tries to treat the place like its really his. I try to keep the channel open. If there's an issue, he knows to get ahold of me and I will try to do something.

@sallypup Well just the fact he doesn't live in your house makes it better.

The renter of your house in the west? Wait and see what happens. Until then, relax.

@DianneN Well, if it happens it would be good if we knew more about a possible timeline on selling our current house. I don't trust realtors and that is a road block for sure.

@sallypup I thought so. Nothing you can do until it happens.

Are you trying to sell the house? I didn't really understand all this but that's okay. I can be very slow sometimes!!

@JudyEv I love to confuse people. Let's see- about four years ago hubby and I talked about how there is not a lot to do where we currently live. Public transportation here is the pits. No literary doings ever. So I got on the computer and looked around. I found a house in a town where there is more to do. Its about five hours from where I live right now. I talked hubby into buying it. I love our current 3 acres and old mobile but do what when he retires? My body is sick of working Weed Whackers, hoes and shovels. So we have plans to sell our little place. I can't believe I said that. The town house has a decently sized yard, two sheds. Its near a train station. Its closer to literary doings. There are trails by waterways. I hope this helps.

@JudyEv This acreage that I am on right now will be up for sale. The house that the renters are in right now is where we will move to. They are trying to find a place to live besides my house!

@sallypup I basically knew all that but do you have it up for sale? Or are you worried that you'll be tempted to sell if the renters offer you a good price? At times, I still can't believe we moved but I know what you're saying about maintaining an acreage.

Luckily you notice the branches on the road. Someone could've gotten into an accident.

Oh my, it looks like your renter has put things in motion you weren't ready for but at least he's considerate.
