Dead to the World and Then Up and Out!

I slept my day away after my colonoscopy. I only woke up to take phone calls and texts, then out like a light all Friday. No date night, no martini. Hubs did cater to me by making me breakfast and ordering dinner. However, I was back on my feet yesterday! Played 9 holes of golf and had brunch on the patio. Friends picked us up and stopped at a jewelry store so my friend could have her emerald cut diamonds made into studs. While there, hubs bought me a diamond pendant as a “get well” gift. I had no idea that he saw me ogling it. He’s always full of sweet surprises. Love that man to the moon and back! After that, we had reservations at our favorite steakhouse. We requested seating way in the back of the restaurant. It was my first time eating indoors in over 17 months! We ate early when it wasn’t crowded and enjoyed the fabulous food and company. Late this afternoon, we have plans to go out for dinner with friends. Outdoor dining today. Happy to be up and out again!

That colonoscopy took a lot out of me.. Hubs is way to kind and caring. He waited until we got home to surprise me. Thanks so much!

@DianneN We had Italian yesterday. I bought a T-bone steak and I want to grill it tonight on the charcoal grill.

@DianneN Did they give you a return date of 5 years or 10 years for your next colonoscopy?

@DianneN I would say colonoscopies can do that to a person make them want to sleep. He takes good care of you. Sounds like you had a good day.

You must have gotten a good dose of anesthesia to be knocked out that long. I'm glad it went well for you. I'm glad to hear that you got out to eat at a restaurant. We will be going out to eat again a week from Friday. Have a good week.

Almost! Living a crazy busy life lately. I’m not putting the colonoscopy behind me until I speak to my doctor on Friday. Have to get the biopsy results.

Good things happen to good people. And if so much has happened to you then you deserve it. Enjoy all the moments that life gives you and the people with whom you are sharing. You are very important to someone. You rate it.

We have found it more comfortable to be either late for the lunch crowd or early for the dinner crowd, but basically are not eating at restaurants much yet. It sounds like you are having a really fun recovery.
