Crimson Crepe Myrtle Tree In Full Bloom

Always look forward to seeing my crimson crepe myrtle tree in full bloom. There are also four in the yard that are growing each year. This tree grows over the roof and has to be trimmed back each fall. Bees, birds and hummingbirds visit the blooms often. Very satisfied with these trees. Low maintenance and they come back bigger each year. They come in other colors. But I prefer this deep crimson red color. Snapped this photo while the sun was out today.

Mom had some purple crepe myrtle but it didn't grow into a tree, I think the desert heat didn't help it much. I wish I could grow that here, I'd love to see hummingbirds return.

We do have them but I don't have the flowers that attract them. I am hoping I will get some red holly hocks next year and I have trumpet vine but it hasn't bloomed yet.

Thank you! Not sure, your climate may be too cold. But I suppose it is possible. They grow in the northern states here as well as mostly southern.

Some towns here have these as street trees. They are very beautiful when they're covered in flowers.
