Senior Moment #4,923 for The Horse

I decided to have salmon chowder for a snack yesterday. I was delighted to see two cans high in my cupboard. I took one out, ready to open it, only to discover that it had already been opened. I must have put it in the cupboard instead of the fridge when I had half a can a couple of days aqo. For some reason I lost my appetite for salmon chowder and had bacon and eggs instead. Are you glad you've never done anything like this?

Were you drunk or high at the time? LOL Besides, bacon and eggs is a much better breakfast in my eyes than salmon chowder.

Oh man, bacon and eggs sound better to be honest but bet you walked in and go something smells fishy in here.

@crossbones27 I've eaten my share of mosquitos in my day. Not sure about fruit flies.

I've done things like that before. Put things where they don't belong.

I misplaced my camera yesterday morning. I actually looked in the fridge, just in case. But it was in my day pack.

Pay attention next time you open a can and do not finish it, transfer it to a container and promptly refrigerate it

No, I haven't done anything like that, yet. I can't imagine why you'd lose your appetite for salmon after finding the open can...

A grown man only eating half a can? Unbelievable. Putting it away in a cupboard for a few days and not smelling anything off? I believe it.

I actually really like it. It tastes essentially the same as clam chowder.

Yes, I am sure glad, Yuck! What I did once though was loose a bag of macaroni, That was long ago back in Latvia, I was making dinner and put together the casserole and needed more macaroni, No macaroni anywhere and I knew I had a big bag, Finally my husband and I discovered that as I was taking ingredients to put in the casserole I had place the bag of macaroni in the freezer, lol

No. A crust developed on top of the offending can. The fruit flies had their fun but an unsavory aroma did not have time to emerge.

Ah, but I have done stuff like that. You're not unique, you know -- at least not in the manner of putting things where they shouldn't go.

Thanks---I feel better now. I think I actually aid and abet the scissors gremlins here. I get distracted and put them in strange places. I have about seven pairs and can never find them when I need them.

@TheHorse I probably have done things like that too. I can see why you lost your appetite after seeing you put it back in the cupboard and not in the frig.

I can honestly say I haven't put an open can in the cupboard. I know I've done other things that could be labeled 'senior moments'.
