I actually got some work done on my book today! Can I get a high five?

Inspired by Valerie, who just published another book, I actually did a bit of work on the book I'm writing today. It was only a few paragraphs, but at least it was something.
As most of you know, it's a book about working with difficult children from difficult families. I have published about 20 "scholarly" articles, and one book chapter, but I've never written an entire book.
Wish me luck in getting this thing done before 2717, when I pick up my MyLot Porsche. I admit that I lack a bit of discipline when it comes to "serious" writing.

I find that Pony has shared so many things out here... that parents could do with guidance about. If he were to check his older posts, and write them as a booklet...rewrite of course...since these posts are myLot's content, then many of the issues would be easier for parents to manage.

Good that you could do that. I always set up a schedule for my writing and artwork, but then I am not able to stick to that. I lack that discipline.

It does take discipline for sure. Can you reward yourself maybe every 20 minutes for writing to keep you on task?, Also perhaps just set a timer and know that you can stop after you have written for that long. I think you will have to play games with yourself in order to stay on task.

I am confused. Wasn't the mylot Porsche date advanced to 2710?
I think if you somehow manage a routine, the book would finish faster.
