My young lady cousin cannot wait to get married, so she had it today. It is against all odds with this pandemic. She sent this photo to show proof. I am just kidding. Despite her perseverance for us to come, we cannot go because of the current situation. The only thing we can do is to greet her congratulations! Is the wedding still allow at your place?

@LadyDuck they don't ask for such a thing here but that would be good if restaurants, malls, travel agencies, etc ask for the negative reports or the vaccination proof from the people.

@sjvg1976 Some restaurants and hotels require proof of negative test before letting the guests inside. They can have an outside party if they do not want to take the test.

There are many who also had their wedding held in the midst of pandemics. Some made it live online so their friends and family could still watch them.

@Shavkat Yeah that is one thing many did when they decide to tie knots in the midst of a pandemic where grand and big celebrations are not allowed.

I think my cousin missed that idea of live online. I was about to ask her about it. I assumed no one can do it at that time.

Few of my young lady friends tied the knot civilly. Glad your cousin has a church wedding. That is a blessed rite.

Yes but minimum number of guests. Only 30 percent of the venue's capacity. With this pandemic it could be advisable to hold it in open area like a garden or a resort unless it's a Catholic rites which should be administered inside the church.

I know I have seen small outdoor events/gatherings . . . I assume weddings are ok to some degree. My niece wanted to get married almost exactly a year ago . . . there was no way we were going to attend as we would have to travel (everyone would - it was a destination wedding). We were all set to let her know the obvious reasons why we would not be attending, but they they decided to cancel it . . . we were actually relieved.

@Shavkat They sent a letter to everyone that they did not want to pressure people to travel during these covid times . . . but perhaps already many had let them know they would not be coming. They said one day they would have a reception of some sort when the times get better.

I am sorry that they need to cancel it. Perhaps they had forecasted what may happen. My family and I told her the reasons ahead of time for not coming to the wedding. She knew it and no heartbreaks to feel on her part.
