The government has decided to set the ceiling price of Covid 19 self test kit for RM19.90 each. That's around $4.80usd. Before this we had to spend around RM40 ($9.65) for a test kit. Is self test kit also available on where you are? How much it usually cost?

It is possible to buy self test kits here and they costs about $6, but we can't use them if we need a negative test result in order to enter a place. Only a negative test from a test center counts in those situations. If we don't need an official document we can use the self test.

@prinzcy Most of our restrictions have been lifted now, but a couple of months ago we needed a negative test or a vaccination certificate to enter most public places. People who have not been vaccinated still need a negative test if they want to visit nightclubs and places like that, but the most of the other restrictions have been lifted.

@prinzcy Across the street from our house is a grocery store with a pharmacy in it. We go to the pharmacy window and ask for the test. They pass it out to us and explain how to use it while we follow their instructions. When we're done we pass the kit back and go home. A few hours later we get an email telling us the results.

It is. It might not be as accurate as the test from the lab but it's good for early detection.
