Do you ever check MyLot before you check your email?

I was merrily MyLotting away this morning, with my first cup of coffee, when I realized I had not checked my email. Over the past 20 years or so, checking my email has been the first thing I do when I first visit the computer. I stopped and realized that maybe twice a week I check MyLot before I even check my email. No doubt a sign of addiction. What do you check first when you visit your computer or cell phone?

All. The. Time. I don’t have e-mail set up on the iPad (just on the phone), so I don’t deal with e-mails. Of course, I’m retired so it doesn’t matter what I get in the e-mail anyway. Except notifications of an Amazon delivery.

Ha ha...I rarely order on Amazon. So far, whatever I have ordered on Amazon has been a huge disappointment. I ordered an epilator, they sent a second hand one...I ordered Kenstar food processor they sent a seconds from local manufacturer in Kenstar box. So Amazon is strictly no no for me.

First work e-mail. Then personal e-mail. For the last 18 months the next thing have been The Number: how many new infections in Trondheim/Trøndelag. Then check if Oslo has lost control again. Now we've all lost control, so I started checking another number. I have to check the number of students signed up for our new course. They thought we would get 30. We have 120. 15th September is the closing date for signing up. Then I usually check facebook, the news and mylot.

@TheHorse No, campus is really too full. And it's build for classes between 20 and 40, so there's only 1 room which is big enough for everyone now. It has to be one meter between students in the auditoriums etc. Normally it would be 3 big rooms, still not enough, but better. By end September everyone will have had the time to get two vaccines though. It might get better then.

I do pretty much the same thing. Most of the emails I get are from my "dear friends" at Best Buy, Guitar Center, etc. How did you get so into endurance rides? It's a cool thing to be into.

@TheHorse I grew up with horses and had them most of my life but we went along to strap (help) a nephew then volunteered for various jobs. It's not much of a spectator sport and really, we'd rather be doing something than standing around. The nephew only rode a few times but we kept going along and helping out. When the photographer retired, Vince stepped in. He got to use his camera and I got my horse fix.

I switch on. Net takes ages to come. So chess. Then even if it takes ages to come then free cell. Then even if it takes ages to come, then I check stocks on TV. Once it comes, YOUTUBE. There I need to switch on music. Yeah...that is where I go. At times I don't check my email for a week or fortnight. Happens. Once music starts, charge the cell phone. I don't know why I don't do it before. It is kinda ritual. LOL. After cell phone is placed to charge, myLot.
