Made Homemade Bread Today

I have a bread machine. Works perfect every time. I have mixes I use in it. Makes homemade bread easy peasy to bake. Had to order more mixes as today's was the last one. I ordered sourdough, wheat and other flavors. Today's was the last of the sourdough. A favorite bread. So good hot out of the machine with butter. Will be really good this fall and winter with soup. I cook it often during the cooler times. Photo is mine.

My mother use to make home made bread all the time when I was a kid. I like it best when the bread is right out of the oven. I would have a piece with butter while the bread is still hot.

I have a bread machine but haven't used it in years. I don't even know why I moved it here. I do occasionally make bread but I use a cast iron Dutch oven.

@CarolDM I have to move the machine in a place more accessible. As it is heavy, when it's time to prepare the bread, I find it easier to turn on the oven and knead the dough manually.

I'm glad you have a bread machine. I make yeast breads most every week with me. I am the bread machine. Hubby just ground some more wheat flour so sooner than later I will press a button and start me up again.

I wonder if i could find one in an appliance store here. Probably online but I’m sure i haven’t seen one being sold at stores here. I guess people here just don’t find the need for it. @CarolDM

They are the easiest way to bake bread. Put the batter in a pan, clise the lid and it cooks in no time.

Sourdough, I have to try to succeed making it. I have a good recipe and the step to make it. I like the taste of it too. I am hapy that you could make your bread.

We have a bread machine as well. It does make it nicer. I grew up making homemade bread on weekends with my Nana. Until Mike's brother bought us the bread maker I would make homemade breads in the autumn/winter months. Your sourdough looks good.

Your loaf looks delicious. There are some scents which are so comforting, including the scent of fresh bread baking in the oven. I had a bread maker, but i did not use it often, so I donated it years ago.
