Is there a Cookie Jar sitting on your counter anymore?

When the kids were little, there was always one sitting on the counter. And... most of the time it was empty. That was the favorite dessert of my bunch lol. Have no idea what ever happened to it, but I rarely make cookies any more. Kind of miss it now that I think about it. The favorite cookie and apparently the best in my kids opinion were my peanut butter cookies. The recipe was given to me by my best friend's mother who lived down the road when I was in public school. Somehow the recipe was passed along to me and I could never keep the cookie jar full. The memory made me think of cookie jars... so tell me if you still or ever did have a cookie jar sitting on your counter??

I love English porcelain. I have an English cookie jar on the counter even though it has Christmas trees and such on it cause I like it. I put things like bags of slivered almonds in it. Hubby knows where the almonds are if he wants them in his yogurt etc.

Actually I have an angel cookie jar but it is a Christmas design It is actually on the counter. I had to look. It should be packed away with Christmas stuff. It doesn't have any cookies in it.

@snowy22315 If you like that cookie jar then leave it where you can enjoy it!

@sallypup Ha, well obviously, I am not enjoying it that much if I had to look to see if it was even there. If it just adds to the clutter not a good place for it. I think I will put it away until holiday time. It is a beautiful jar though.

I do, but it is not what you think...it is for pet treats, and is decorated as such. My guess is a person would not enjoy the treats in there..

Never have one. For the best too. I would start eating if I saw one.

Never had a cookie jar at all. My son wasn’t really into it.

I used to have a plastic Tupperware container on my counter I kept filled with cookies... After Pretty left for college, I didn't bother making cookies anymore so no need for the cookie container. After she came home from college, neither one of us eats that many cookies and just buy small(er) packages when we want some.

Wow. It's interesting. We don't use cookie jars here. You can start doing it again if you miss making them
