I always kept my hair short - Diana haircut - but because of the pandemic I did not want to have any stylist at my place. The hair is now growing and I am thinking of letting it grow atleast for another year. I use coconut oil in which curry leaves are fried. I am told it is good for hair growth and yes I see results What do you do specially to take care of your hair?

@allknowing We have aloe vera planted in pots. Grated coconut is simply coconut meat.

Aloe vera is good. We have aloe vera plants but I hardly make use of them. But I do have a shampoo that has aloe vera

I haven't gotten my hair cut since the pandemic started either. (It is below my shoulders now. *sigh* Or, it would be if it wasn't so curly...) I spray it with a spray on leave in conditioner and comb it through my hair. The conditioner is called Humectant.

Am not so vain with my hair. Though I want it straightened. I cut my hair too during pandemic as I cannot keep a long hair.

Do you cut it yourself or go to a salon? It is risky these days to go to a salon.

Well I am also letting mine grow for the time being. I change it once in a while. I like that style of Dianas. Of course you know i can cut my own. I just use one special treatment once a week and it is called Joico.

Doesn't the curry leaf/ coconut oil combination make your hair smell of curry?

The name is curry but it does not smell of curry. It has its own aroma that disappears when it is cooked in oil pitch black

I don't do anything in particular, just trim the ends every now and then. I also trim the hair of everyone else in the family. Previously it was just a trim of the ends but during lockdown the girls wanted to try something more daring and trusted me to create it LOL! And amazingly it worked! They both get lots of compliments!

@DaddyEvil I didn't say that! But imagine something along these lines (but without the beards) Especially the 'long hair undercut' picture
The undercut remains one of the best men’s hairstyles to get right now. Modern and popular, the undercut haircut offers a high-contrast way to cut short hair on your sides…

You can boil coconut oil using Hibiscus flower and it's leaves, dried gooseberries, Aleovara gel, Tulsi leaves and of course curry leaves. Leave it until the oil turn blackish in color. Very good for hair growth and no side effects.

I do a lot coloring to my hair but since pandemic I stopped and just concentrated on repairing it using keratin and castrol oil and aloe Vera shampoo which is effective

I periodically color my hair. I use herbs like henna, indigo and amla. It grows well anyway. Your infused coconut oil sounds like a nice treatment. One of the things they use in hair products in the US for growth is rosemary.
