Roses Blooming in the Sunshine

Snapped this photo against the beautiful blue skies we are having today. Still a little warm. Maybe the last warm and humid days of the summer. Always makes me happy to see the roses still blooming. They are usually the last flowers in the garden to bloom. Enjoying the little things all around nature has to offer.

I tend to like September hot, because usually it’s not as oppressive as July hot. It can be, though. It’s supposed to rain Wednesday and Thursday, independent of the tropical storm heading for Texas, so there’s no telling what it’ll be by the end of the week. I don’t care, truthfully, because that’s too far in the future. I’m going to enjoy today, which is a gift. That’s why they call it the present.

They are lovely. This rather makes me miss the roses that my parents had at their place. I keep thinking that, one of these days, I will move to a place where I can plant stuff. That still hasn't happened yet, unfortunately. Our attempts at that have turned out to be utter disasters-- on the level that I really should fictionalize it and write a book about it.

@CarolDM I likely will write the book. I just have to fictionalize it and insert a bit more humor to that entire bit. There was a space of time there that can only be described as "surreal." As for buying another house, I still intend to. I'm just considering our options. I know that it can't be here in this region; I just don't see this as longterm material.

Beautiful rose. I'm watching the weeds bloom but I haven't seen very many bees this year. I do have ants up the ying yang though, maybe they're pollenating them, lordy I hope not.
