September 16 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today is a fantastic day!
I'm thankful I went to the pool this morning and had a wonderful workout, minus the hot tub. They were cleaning it.
I'm thankful for the nap I got when I got home. An hour and a half. I was tired. I was up early as I have been since this move started.
I'm thankful I checked the mail before I left for the pool. My new glasses arrived. They're huge! However, they look nice and that's important. Well, not as important as the fact I can see much better.
I'm thankful my move is complete. I'm beat! I left the cleaning supplies in the car and locked it up. I'll bring them in tomorrow. My trunk is full of things to donate, as well as part of my back seat. I cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, fridge, turned on auto clean on the oven, vacuumed and washed the floors. I also spackled all the nail holes from my pictures. Tomorrow my son's girlfriend's cousin comes to deep clean the apartment so I can get my deposit back.
I'm also thankful for the new keyboard. The other one drove me crazy. The spacebar stuck and added countless spaces and added a lot of time to a simple post or comment. I'm very happy with this one.
Okay, that's been my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. For now, I'm going to bed to get up early for the pool, unless I oversleep now that everything is finished. The image belongs to me.

@just4him That's not much sleep. The cats knocked a box of dog biscuits off the counter half an hour before the alarm went off this morning. The naughty mutts. I didn't get much sleep either cause I was working into a short short story last night.

I guess you must be thrilled the move is complete. I was thankful that the agent told me my insurance has been approved and will be going into effect by the end of the month when it is needed. That was super news.

@moffittjc Yes, I know how grandparents are with their grandkids. I wish I could spoil my newest great-grandson. He's in Austin. A bit far from Wisconsin.

I'm thankful for my daughter's new job. She worked for a doctor, who was piling three jobs into her schedule. When she went on vacation, he replaced her without a notice. She was not fired. All because she told him that he was unfair. The next day, she was hired back at the Children's hospital and got two better offers, for a Nurse Practitioner's position. We are thanking the Lord, for this answer to prayer.

Sounds like a wonderful and productive day. I'm sure you'll get all that stuff donated. Nice to be in your new place, too I bet. I'm always happy when a move is complete.

Yes, it was productive. I'll take the stuff to one of the thrift stores today.
Yes, it is nice everything is finished. I only need to find a home for the things I brought from the apartment yesterday. It won't take long and then I can hang pictures and make this apartment homey.

To say you've been a busy bee would be an understatement Valerie.
Glad you're all moved now and getting settled in the new place.
After all that hard work I'm sure you'll be looking forward to that hot tub next time you go.

Sounds like a good day, although very busy. I remember the cleaning process from when we moved into a new apartment. But it is nice to get the deposit back.
