I’m the Girl with the Pearl Earring

The photo is from Wikipedia. It’s a famous Vermeer painting made so by his talented assistant and model that he painted in his home.
Anyway, pearls are my birthstone, so I have many. However, I lost one of my large white pearl stud earrings over a week ago, probably from my mask wearing. It was my favorite pair.
Hubs surprised me Sunday with a pair of dangling gray south sea pearl earrings forgetting that he has bought them multiple times in multiple styles over multiple years. I thanked him anyway.
Yesterday, I decided that he should exchange them for larger white pearl studs to replace my lost pearl. He did so while I was having a beauty procedure.
Now I’m the girl with the pearl earrings and so grateful!

It kills to lose jewelry.
. The pearl I lost was large. Hubs bought them for me in Florida a few years ago, but I do love these larger ones. I may have to lose one to upgrade
I love south sea pearls. I have a necklace and a few pairs of matching earrings, two pendants, a beige south sea necklace and a pink one. My favorites are white pearls. Besides diamonds, they go with everything

@DianneN I wanted one plain gold bangle for my Birthday. Jay bought me three pairs of pants,
that I don't like and I didn't need. Tomorrow is my Birthday again. I wonder what he will dream up
this year(not a plain gold bangle).

Yes it is awful especially when someone steals from you or breaks things you have and does not care because all they want to do is destroy. I have to replace when I do and that is expensive for me but the one or ones doing it do not care because they are miserable lonely things.

I love pearls. They are so elegant. I have a pearl ring that I adore. Never get the chance to wear it though. My ex idiot gave it to me. I chose it for myself. He wanted to get me a small pearl and I refused it.

Some famous artist should have a painting of you with those earrings on and then that painting that you have uploaded will fade into insignificance.

Not really a fan of pearls. But recently i’m taking an interest in them. We have this belief that pearls, we lbuy for ourselves and never as a gift. They say the person who will give the pearls will make you cry. Several years ago my sister gifted me a pair of south sea pearls earrings set in gold. They were huge and very beautiful. Two years after that we had a disagreement. Coincidence maybe. I don’t believe in such anyway but i wouldn’t gift anyone with pearls either.

I never heard that old wives tale. Hubs buys all my jewelry for me. I have quite a collection of south sea pearls in almost every color, but diamonds are my favorites.
I bought my 13 year old granddaughter a strand of Mikimoto pearls for her birthday in June. I haven’t made her cry ever.

I have not got any jewelry from him after our wedding ring. But he will give me his credit card if I want to buy one. And to come and shop with me would be a nightmare for him and me too.
