What a Few Minutes!

I began date night with my usual delicious martini when our son texted.
He told us he arrived safely in Washington D.C., stopped in Maryland and Delaware to collect sand from their beaches ( he has been collecting sand from all over the world to display in little glass jars), and then texted that his girlfriend was expecting two packages today.
I took a slug of my delicious martini, hopped into the car, had hubs put the convertible top down, and went to our son’s house. Hubs found the packages sitting in front of the garage doors and brought them into the kitchen.
Back home to text our son, have a little sip of my delicious martini, and found this photo he sent.
Little Nali, whom he kittysat for a few months ago, remembered him and instantly gave him a kiss.
Now I’m home and enjoying date night leisurely. Hubs picked up chicken and sides so I don’t have to cook.
Do you love Fridays as much as I do?

I'm glad everything is going well for you and your family...
I just got done with a doctor's appointment, got my allergy shot, they vampired me and now I have to go to the hospital. The doctor wants me to have chest x-rays. I've been hurting and she wants to see what shows up. Wish me luck.

Ever since I became a widow and I retired, the name of the days don´t have much meaning. I love the days when I am visited or I visit and the others are just "days". Sometimes, with this pandemia, I find out that I have "lost" a day

@DianneN We will go out to dinner for our anniversary next Sunday. That's the extent of our "date nights". By the way, this will be our 51st anniversary!!! When did that happen???????? The time has flown by.

Nali did put on some weight our son mentioned. But all she wanted to do was play the stick under tissue paper game with him. He will have her thin through exercise by the time he leaves.
