Oh, so good

Hubby tried to tempt me to go out to eat. We have not been, because of finances, and covid, and his small appetite, and for my health.
I reminded him I had pork loin chops thawed that needed prepared.
We had a fast simple meal. I sauteed onions and then put the pork chops in the skillet.
I baked a Yukon gold potato in the microwave, and made a salad with hearts of romaine, tomatoes, bell pepper, onions, and green olives. We had our choice of dressings, and butter and sour cream for our potatoes.
So much better than eating out, and much less expensive too.

We almost always regret it when we eat out. It is nice to have things just the way we like them.

Sauteed onions? Is that how one 'repairs' thawed chops?

I do not worry that I will get it. Perhaps I am foolish. I will admit that the quality of eating out has really declined, though. It is not much fun.

@GardenGerty I liked to eat out time by time, but no more now. To eat inside you need the "Green Pass" showing that you are not positive to Covid, what a pain! I stay at home and I have more fun.

It was good, and we had leftovers for another time.

Eating at home is the best way to enjoy since there is no need to travel to a restaurant and give money away to a business for the same quality meal.

Those onions tasted so good, and no breading on them. Tasted better than restaurant onion rings.

It can be. It would be more fun, but he has lost his appetite.

I prefer to cook most of the time. Eating out is nice sometimes for a treat, but so very expensive. And yes, Covid plays a big part in my saying, no, let's not. Your dinner sounds delicious.

Prices keep going up, and we have to drive a ways to get to any place. Just not a good use of our time.
