And hopefully she didn't have that squirrel in mind. In 2019 around Halloween I bought myself a sugar pumpkin thinking I might try my hand at making my own home made pumpkin pie. Well, that didn't happen and the dern lil pumpkin ended up getting over ripe until I finally just threw it out front for the birds to feed on. Apparently they didn't and now I have this pumpkin plant that had at least 6 blossoms on it about a week ago and now has 2 confirmed tiny pumpkins developing and possibly 2 or more starting. Yeah, I am thrilled to say the least. Have you ever grown pumpkins? Do you have any tips you might want to share? Anyway, I have to share something I thought was both cute and funny with you

If he sees it then yes but if he doesn't then he's more concerned with the neighbor dogs.

Yes, I have grown pumpkins, easy to grow, just remember to water them regularly, they need a lot of water.

Yes, I've grown pumpkins... My best tip is to kill the vine so you don't have to mess with them.

@rebelann Yes, pumpkins are a fruit. Because pumpkins aren't worth doing anything with... Pretty always buys one in October, carves it into some funny/scary face and the neighborhood teenagers end up smashing it in the street. You can't make good food out of them, either.

They reseeded themselves! My son grew Doodles pumpkins (from pumpkins that Doodles sniffed and rubbed against), and they grew well. I still have them! No tips. Sorry.

I have grown pumpkins. All I did was put my Halloween pumpkin in my veggie garden. It decomposed and next Summer/Fall I had 2 pumpkins. A couple of spookies for my front porch

The ones I have are those sugar pumpkins or something like that which is what many people use to bake pumpkin pie.

That is so cool!!! Wow, that just grew on it's own then? I haven't grown pumpkins/melons . . . I know they require a lot of water, so I just don't. But I do have seeds for them. Awwwwww, those are terrific dog hugs !

I'm guessing the birds probably feasted on the pumpkin and ate some of the seeds then pooped in that same spot where the seeds finally germinated after the rains we recently got. Not really sure though. At least when, or rather if, these pumpkins get ripe they'll be of the sweet variety and small. Yeah, I thought those kritters were so dern cute I just had to share.

Yeah, the pumpkin I bought was one of those small sugar types supposedly good for making pie but 2020 wasn't a good year for me so out it went.
