The photo shows what I cut into earlier. It's my favorite idea of pizza. I make a tender roll dough and spread it on a cookie sheet. This time around I slathered the yeasty dough with Alfredo or white sauce. I sprinkled on Feta cheese. Sometimes I use tomato sauce and once in a great while, green pesto sauce. Red bell peppers were cheap so I chopped some on with onion. A little ham, black olives and even slices of raw tomato. This is the only time I enjoy store tomatoes. The rock hard tomato bakes in the oven and comes out pretty nice. Anyway, I am full now and pretty content.

That looks delicious. I make vegetable pizza from scratch sometimes. My big thing is lots of mushrooms, but I love bell peppers, too.

That looks good. I like to do homemade pizza; I like to add crumbles or tofurky sausage to mine along with plant-based cheese. I've found some with good taste and good melting properties.

@sallypup Follow Your Heart and Daiya are both good brands for that. The options for good vegan cheese have really expanded since I first went vegetarian; the stuff that I tried early on really was rather horrible. Oh, and I agree about almond cheese; I've not had a nut-based "cheese" yet that I actually liked-- not even the small batch, artisanal stuff.

@wilsongoddard Tell me more about the vegetarian cheese that you find edible. I've spoken with quite a number of veg heads and nobody can stand that vegie cheese. (Almond cheese is just nasty.)
