I have plenty of food.
Hubby cooked a slab of ribs in the crock pot. He marinated it with a rub and some smoke seasoning overnight.. The next day he put it in the crock pot on "High" for 8 hours.. Today we warmed it up on low.
I made homemade corn bread. Nothing special, just my usual.
I stuffed half an acorn squash with apples, craisins and onions. Added butter brown sugar and cinnamon. Hubby says it is dessert.
Like I said, we have plenty more.

@LadyDuck I know that would feel like a hassle.

@GardenGerty It's ages that I do not eat ribs. Preparing them for myself only seems a waste of time. My husband does not eat them.

It was simple to make, and there was plenty. It would be fun to have a meal and share.

Pretty simple, too. I could do things while it all cooked.

Why did you put onions in the otherwise "sweet" squash concoction?

Onions often taste sweet when baked, plus I have a whole dish hubby cut up and sauteed that I need to use.

Sounds delicious. For some reason, ribs have been ridiculously expensive. My son in law, who loves to cook, made ribs last weekend. He had a new recipe for a rub, cooked them long and low in regular oven, and we had a homemade garlic mushroom sauce to use for a dip if we wanted. The ribs were so good and so tender, we didn't need anything on them. He asked for homemade stuffed baked potatoes, so I brought those. It was all so good. Your squash sounds wonderful, I love acorn squash.
