Cup of coffee, bowl of popcorn

I was so hungry on the way home today. Hubby fixed me a cup of coffee and I popped a bag of microwave popcorn and shared it with him. It was good for a little while but now I need to make some real food. It will be left overs from the rib dinner. So ribs, acorn squash, corn bread, and maybe a potato. We shall see. I really enjoy having leftovers to feast on.

That sounds delicious. The US has such different food to the UK. You have biscuits with gravy! Here biscuits are sweet and eaten with a cup of tea.

Here that would be a cookie. Although we do make scones, which are like our biscuits, only sweet.

I imagine you drink more tea than coffee, and that is good as well.

You have such good food Heather..ribs I havent had any in ages..but I am trying to cut down on meat. I am making popcorn right now. Have a good eve.

I know of a few people who do that. I knew of someone who raised four big athletic boys on an educators salary. They topped their chili with popcorn to make it go further.

Leftovers are generally a good thing.

I'm running on too much frozen stuff here, but I've not felt like cooking. I figure that my husband can at least handle heating up frozen foods. Although, based on his performance with this evening's egg rolls, I may be expecting too much of him. He tends toward making food "well done," since he doesn't understand that you don't actually follow the package directions to the letter if you want for things to turn out well.
