A Sunny Day and a Good Neighbor

I hope all of you had a beautiful day. The sun was shining bright this morning and I went out for an early walk. I went by the leasing office to pay my rent and had to line up with others who were there for the same purpose.
When I left there I walked on to the creek and followed the trail thru the woods. The trees are beginning to change colors but are still mostly green. I walked about an hour around the complex and returned home. A large truck from Amazon was delivering packages. It kept stopping right in front of me until I hurried past it.
A strange man rang my door bell and I didn’t know if I should open the door or not, but I opened the door and it was an upstairs resident. He told me he hadn’t seen our red car parked out front in weeks. He thought we might have moved so he stopped to see. I told him about our wreck and Leo’s death. He was so nice. He asked me if there was anything he could do for me, pick up groceries or anything. Of course there’s nothing anyone can do but it’s good of him to offer.

Wow, the fact that he noticed something and went out of his way to offer something is honestly incredible. Gives a bit more hope in the world.

It's good to have nice neighbors. The young man who lives across from me often texts to say things like he hadn't seen me in a while and was everything okay.

@RubyHawk Not him, but another neighbor nearby has been walking my dog for me while I'm at work. She works from home, the young man across the way doesn't always.

@xstitcher you do have good neighbors. I’ve never asked anything from mine but if I was in a bind I would ask for help.
