I do not own a fourth cat

Saturday morning Bob woke up and told me if I would just say the word we could cancel the trip to Oklahoma and he could keep Midnight.
I reminded him of how he felt when Princess got lost while we were moving and that he did not want to make someone else feel that way.
So, for those who would like to know, the girl in Oklahoma, is a young adult. She and her husband and three kids showed up to get Midnight from us. With a little dog as well.
She said she had never seen Midnight in person, so she could not say 100% that this was her, but her kids were Sooooo excited. They said she looked like their kitty that died. Midnight had shared her home in Iowa with a dog, and should be fine with this one.
The Mama in Iowa is thrilled our community helped with her cat.
My cats are pleased not to share attention with this newcomer who was planning to take over the territory.
We had a nice trip. There were some good memories along the road as we had passed through the area on our honeymoon twenty-three years ago.
The scenery was awesome. The fall trees in Kansas and Oklahoma were full of color.
We did something different for the weekend. Yay us.
Tomorrow is Monday, just one week to Thanksgiving break.

I am glad that Midnight has made her way home to her family. I am certain that, while your cats bore her no ill will, they were quite happy to see her on her way; kitty pawlitics can be very complex, and any addition to a catdom can set off some tense negotiations.

The politics of the cattery here has been in a flux for most of the year. Maybe next year we can have some normalcy.

@wilsongoddard Three years ago I was not ever going to have any more cats. See how that has turned out.

@GardenGerty Same here. The boy was added about seven months ago, and he and his sister are still negotiating some aspects of their relationship. For instance, she is trying to teach him that impulsively leaping on her and trying to bring her down like a wildebeest is not appawpriate behavior.

People like photos of pets here. Eating grass is a way cats have of maintaining healthy digestion.

@GardenGerty Yes, it seems that there are many people who like pets here. That cat is great. Even though no one taught him that eating grass was good for his health.

Back to three cats. We cannot keep every cat we find.

@GardenGerty You are right, do not tell me, my garden looks like a "free buffet for cats".

It was lovely, weather was perfect, and I wanted expecially to bless the lady in Iowa as well as she was very distraught about Midnight being lost.

Hope it is the right cat, but it sounds like she will have a lot of love either way.

From a picture and description of behavior the Iowa grandma thought so.

As much as I like cats, I am really not wanting more. Weather was great for a road trip.

, she has a good home and your kitties are relieved she's gone.
I can't believe how fast these last 2 years have gone, now if only that dadblasted Covid would go away.
