Glad Monday is over

Everyone seemed to have an extra tough Monday yesterday.
I was mostly just tired from my trip.
Earl, however, hit a deer, in his personal vehicle, on the outskirts of town. He did that on his way to work.
My phone would not work to clock me in or anything. turns out I needed a new data card.
I found out the second school is dismissing early Wednesday. That means I had
to arrange to swim today.
I had not set up for breakfast for my student, special drink cups, a shirt cover, wash cloth. I had left a handy dandy little tool at home that helps me with my day to day work.
My lead teacher did not feel well, and neither did some others.
But the weather is nice.
There are kids wearing shorts, as we practice Christmas music.
I am trying to figure out how to take and set up my dish for the potluck while also dealing with the wheel chair and my student's breakfast.
I am sure it will all work out, but it bothered me in my sleep.
Tuesday, Here we come!!

We had one teaching staff member die. Mostly the teachers seem to recover quickly but there is always that exception.

@GardenGerty That's very sad. Were they vaccinated?

It sounds like Earl is having a bad run of luck with deer. Or, rather, deer are having a bad run of luck with Earl. Wasn't it just three or four weeks ago that he hit a buck?
Hopefully, the teacher and others are just feeling run down by the school year and just need the Thanksgiving break to recover.

Earl says he has hit seven deer this year, or been hit by seven. Four in one incident on the turnpike. My teacher is really run down, but she will be better.

@GardenGerty Earl is lucky that he hasn't been injured in any of his run-ins with deer.
We drove through a wooded area a few weeks ago as it was getting dusk, and I spotted a doe standing alongside the road. That put me on high alert for any of her family and friends being about--something that my husband isn't used to having to watch out for. He really is a city driver.

Earl took me by the school early, to put the food inside. I had everything ready to be put together in an electric skillet. After my student had breakfast he sat with the teacher while I plugged it in and turned it on.

@GardenGerty I'm sure... the closer you get to extra days off, the better you view things.

Hope today goes better for you.
Didn't Earl hit a deer last month? That's no way to go hunting.

It is beginning to get chilly here, but still bright looking. Earl just drove his van on away. He is getting in a lot of practice with deer this year.
