A Funny Memory About Brendel

A memory popped up in my photos today. This photo was from 2014. A few months after adopting the Dude.
Brendel was getting used to sharing her kingdom with him. And she would play tricks on him. At the time they were sharing a water bowl.
She took one of her toys (a rat) and left it in the water. I have no doubt it was meant for the Dude. Too funny. She doesn't do these things any more.
Lately she will just sit on top of him to make him move. But usually they get along really good. Funny to look back at these old photos and see how far they have both come since then.

Sibling rivalry. Even if they didn’t come from the same bloodline, they’re siblings and they act like it. 
Freckles loved tennis balls, so Goldie’s way of frustrating Freckles was to get a tennis ball and PEEL IT. Yes, Goldie would yank the fuzz off the tennis ball. She wouldn’t eat it or spread it all over the house, she just peeled it to frustrate Freckles.

that is a fun memory - soaking rats in water though could have cat mafia meanings (like a horse head in your bed) just saying...

Their friendship evolved over time I guess. I have had cats that sort of got along and ones that really did not. I think that a slow introduction is the key really. However, just like people, I think cats can have personality conflicts too.

That is just so amusing she must have thought the rat would scare Dude away from the water bowl or another thought perhaps placing the rat in the water bowl was her way of sharing her toy who know what she was thinking but I am glad they both are good friends now,
