That's how I am feeling right now when it comes to writing a discussion.
Staring at the empty white box, no idea what to write about.
I guess I will just write about what's bugging me.
My mom texted me this morning letting me know that her friend's mom passed away. She didn't tell me anything about the funeral services. Apparently, they were today as my mom called me just now and told me she was there earlier.
I can't believe she didn't tell me about it. I would have definitely been there had I known. It would have been the right thing to do. And now I feel bad. I should have asked her when the services will be as soon as I saw that text...
Do you ever feel blocked when you want to write a discussion?

That's precisely why I don't write a lot of discussions. I mean, I have tons of things I could write about, but I never know what to write that people would care to read.

@lovebuglena It always seems to be hit or miss in that respect.

There are times when I write something thinking hardly anyone will respond but more than a few do. And then there times when I write something thinking lots of people will respond but that doesn’t happen.

Not really, I just babble...lol. No, actually the problem I have is forgetting what I want to post about.

Sometimes I have ideas for discussions but don’t write them down. When it’s time to post I can’t remember what I wanted to write about.

At least you interact a lot, so you sort of do lots of writing.

Sorry you missed the services. I have trouble when Discussions concern my life because not much goes on in my life. It's usually boring.

It happens to the best of us. Then again, many of the things I write about are ideas that just pop into my head, weird encounters that seem to follow me around wherever I go, and of course I can always talk about something money related or on the topic of politics.
Usually I can find something to write about, for whatever it is worth. But we all have a blank moment now and again.

Your posts are usually pretty lengthy, which I do not mind. Mine sometimes seem to be on the very short side. Sometimes I wonder if I write a very long post if people actually read the whole thing and then comment, or if they just skim through it and then comment, or if they comment simply based on the title. Like for example, if the title of the post is “what did you have for dinner?” will some just answer that question in the comments without reading that discussion?

@porwest Some of your comments can probably be their own discussions.

@lovebuglena I think most people skim. It usually becomes quite apparent when you read their comments. lol. I don't mind. I write enough to get out what I want to say, and I tend to be long winded probably because I have always written longer pieces outside of here. My comments can be rather long too, depending.
At the end of the day, I get paid for the like and the comment. Whether or not someone actually reads my post has nothing to do with getting paid, so I really don't mind one way or the other.
I do think some longer posts MIGHT get a bit more attention organically. Not sure on that. And I guess that helps the site even if it doesn't help me since, so far as I am aware, we don't get paid for outside views.

Sometimes inspiration or ideas come when I open the discussion box.

All of the time. I think that's why I don't post as many discussions. And the ones I do post, usually are about my cat. Honestly, I think I'm in a rut, because I do the same things day in and day out.

My days are usually pretty much the same. Nothing really exciting to write about.

It’s still bugging me that I wasn’t there. She should’ve told me about it. I didn’t get a response back for the condolences text. Perhaps the person didn’t see it or wasn’t up to texting.

@TheHorse I am a bit upset. She should've told me about it. But then I also should've asked her myself. It's partly my fault I didn't go.

It's temporary, May be you can watch news, or go for walk, there you will get idea what to write about
In a week I hardly create a discussion, there are very less chances when I create 2 or more in a week or so.

I like to write at least one every day I come on here but it’s not a big deal if I don’t do that all the time.

@lovebuglena May be you should give a try... before deleting it. If you ask me , I commented on "couple goal post" ... And I am single there. And that comment got 10 re-commenting too

What activities do I enjoy doing most with my spouse? Honestly, I enjoy doing almost anything with him. As long as we're together and making memories...
