Our garland is now in place

I’ve written a previous Christmas about making a garland for the front door. I used a length of flexible hose and formed it into a circle then twisted tinsel round it. It worked out well and I wanted to do something similar this year. However, I must have left the circle behind when we moved. Vince was able to make another circle using some black reticulation polypipe and you can see the result in the photo. There are some very lovely commercial garlands hanging on some front doors but I’m very happy with this one. Have I told you I’m pretty cheap? Or maybe you guessed it.

It’s a beautiful wreath and looks expensive. If I could come up with something to make the circle I’d make one.

If you had any old garden hose, you could use a section of that.

It can only be used for a short time so I really don't like spending too much money on one.

That's a beautiful garland. Doesn't matter if it's cheap as long as it lasts a long time.

I remember poor Patsie and her struggles with her sight, etc. I never heard anything about her husband. That would be have been before I joined myLot.

The wreath if very easy to make. Here is a collage of last year's. The top photo shows the base of flexible hose but this time I just used polypipe joined in a circle. You could do the same with a piece of old garden hose. @Chakimmm @rebelann

Uhm... saying you're "cheap" doesn't sound very good... You should consider telling people you're "frugal" instead. That doesn't carry the same connotation as calling yourself "cheap".

I've tagged you in @rebelann's post to show you how it's made up. Once I had the circle, I just wound three different colours of tinsel round it. Very easy but quite effective.
