Wandering the backstreets of myLot

Today I got up at a "reasonable" (for me) time. I had coffee, and breakfast. I took my morning medicines. Then promptly went back to bed for two more hours. It is afternoon now, and I am just now posting. I have been looking around, responding to top rated discussions, and wandering off every now and then to respond to someone I do not often see. It is very satisfying, really. I am calm, unhurried and just taking in all the news and views. Lucky for me we can not devour posted foods. I would have had at least two different chocolate cakes and a few other foods as well. Hubby made himself a large breakfast when he got up, so for lunch we had more of a snack. I am trying to clean up small containers of food and things that have been in my freezer for a while. It is just a relaxing day all around.

I have no freezer and only some edible stuff in my fridge. Should a volcano erupt, the earth quake or a flood hinder me from leaving the house, I'd be hard put.

@GardenGerty Thank you for your concern. The good thing is that I don't live alone. There are two other families in the house. Our relationship is good. They'd feed me. I know that they have some supplies in the basement of the house. :-)

I agree with you that it's good we can't devour the foods we see. It wouldn't be good for our waistlines. Especially all those desserts. I'm glad you're having a good relaxing break from school.

This is wonderful to hear, Heather:) Having a relaxing, stress free day is a privilege we seldom utilize! Jay made a large breakfast at noon, so I ate a small lunch myself. Hopefully, he will be pleased to join me for supper tonight:)

Our eat and sleep schedules are really off, and it becomes very apparent on school breaks and even on the weekend.

If we could sample all the foods shown by our friends, none of us would fit through doors anymore.

@GardenGerty Sometimes pony uses an image that he claims is his photo... The person in the photo is very large and I find it difficult to believe the man can get through a "normal" sized doorway. (Only ask pony to see the image if you haven't eaten for a while. The person is dressed only in tighty whiteys and seeing him doesn't help encourage an appetite, in my opinion.) I mean, I've gained 30 lbs since I left Walmart in January of last year but I'm not even close to that size... yet.

This period between Christmas and new year is often a strange time when nothing much happens, but you can't really go anywhere or do much because in a couple more days everything will close again... it's a good time for a bit of relaxing and using up stuff!

I'm trying to empty out the fridge a bit too although we never seem to have a really full fridge. My sister-in-law's fridge is bulging sometimes but for some reason mine rarely is.

I am glad you had a relaxing day. We all need that sometimes. I got rid of a bunch of old stuff in our freezer as well but did it on Monday because I ordered some Omaha Steaks for my hubby for Christmas and they were due to be delivered on Tuesday. We needed the room, but it was also nice to free up extra space in the freezer.
