A Night Like Any Other

Happy New Year to those I haven’t wished it to! Last night was not only New Year’s Eve, but Friday date night as well. The photo shows a gift directly from France given to me by my son’s girlfriend’s mother. She’s an American Airlines head flight attendant and brought me true Camembert cheese from her France flight. Hubs and I polished it off last night. Soooooo earthy and delicious! She also gave me a beautiful sari/sarong/scarf from India bedecked with gold and jewels. She also brought home a gorgeous purse loaded with beauty treats from Israel. I am enjoying them. I thanked her last night for her thoughtful gifts. She’s in Brazil now and welcomed in the New Year as only Brazilians can do! Wear white, samba, sing, and enjoy the spectacular fireworks!

Another term? I don’t get it. Happy New Year is what we Americans say lol! Likewise! That cheese was fabulous! I hope she has more flights to France soon. I will pay her to bring back more!

This is the same we had on Christmas day, I am glad it is imported here. The Latin people surely know how to celebrate New Year... and soon Carnival!

She’s so thoughtful. She invited us over to her house in January, but both our schedules are crazy. I still owe her dinner here first. The cheese was to die for. Hope she returns to Paris soon.
