No wonder he is hiding in his room

I am quite certain roomie took a box of chocolates I bought from under the Christmas tree... They were unopened. What a creep! If it wasnt him friend did it, but he didn't say anything about it, and he would almost certainly ask if he was going to. Roomie is going to be replacing these when he goes to town. They weren't for him! I can't believe he did this. He has taken maybe a donut before or a a cookie or something...but nothing like this. No wonder his family doesn't like him. Food Thief!

Pretty "steals" my candy all the time, but she's my daughter, too. She does, usually, ask after she's eaten whatever she takes. I asked her why she does that and she told me she doesn't want to risk me telling her she can't have it. When we're buying groceries, I'll pick up some candy and ask if she wants anything and she tells me no... then later, she'll steal part of what I bought. I'd be upset if a roommate took my candy without asking, though.

He says he didn't take it and he would admit to it if he had I am sure. However, it didn't walk away. Friend doesn't have it either. I Will tomorrow when there is more light. I even asked roomie is he was sleepwalking and ate it. Hopefully, he will go somewhere on Monday, and I will check his trash.

@snowy22315 I hope it just slipped under a chair or something. That does seem odd, though.

@DaddyEvil I thought "pretty" was your wife or girlfriend all of this time.

You should place a small security camera to check what he does in your living room. The box did not move by itself and I am sure that Nico did not hide the box.

@snowy22315 It is childish to steal a box of chocolates.

You might have to lock your room to keep him out. That would put a damper on his thievery.

No, they were in living room. He doesn't go in my room! He says he hasn't taken them, but I do want to do a search just to make sure. They didn't walk away.

@cacay1 I don't think he did it. Although he does other things I don't like. He won't be here forever.

@snowy22315 You might have to keep all your things in your room if nothing else works.

It is hard to find renters out here. I will probably give him a 60 day notice in the spring though. I am pretty tired of him honestly. I need a break.

Is this the first time he may have done something like this? If so, I would let it slide - he may have done it but be embarrassed to admit or something else may have happened to it. If things keep happening - then I would have issues.

Yes, he has taken food previously but nothing to get excited about. No more than like an egg or cookie.

That is very disrespectful. He needs to come clean, replace them, and appologize to you for that. Then he can start working on regaining your trust again.

I mean I have looked for these. They may turn up..but, I don't know where they could possibly be..and he had the nerve to help himself to a small dish of chocolate I had on the table after the fact. He is a food addict. I guess I just can't keep anything out...dumb bunny.
