Marion, where I work, has spotty power outages. Some of the schools and administration have no electricity. That equals No School. Originally we were just going to delay school, due to roads not being clear yet. Hillsboro, where we take our other students was starting late as well. Then it was just Marion Elementary was not having school. They switched it up and no Marion schools were in session. After that our transportation manager said, "We are not taking Hillsboro". After Earl was on his way and I had walked to the bus stop. I will be able to take a personal day and still get paid. That is good because this is going to be a short pay check anyway. So I am at home. I will change out of my nicer clothes and into something cozy to wear around the house. I will have more time to myLot as well. Winter is here, at least for today and tomorrow.

Without power, none of the office workers or computers would be working. This is a day at home for you, enjoy!

@GardenGerty I don't do enough reading. When we have a power outage, I usually sit down and read:)

Glad you'll get paid for the personal day. Hopefully the winter fun will end soon and warm weather will back. Here it's warming up again but who knows for how long. It's our first seesaw season of the year.

Plans must get changed time and again when the weather is so chancy. Enjoy your day at home.

Ick, winter. We’re having it today. I’m going to be staying home, cleaning house, and enjoying one of my favorite cold-weather comfort meals (beef stew over rice). And hot tea. Lots of hot tea.

Are you getting pretty snow falling there, too? I'm not happy about it but it's coming down whether I like it or not.
