January 12 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It's a good day today. I have a lot to be thankful for. Well, at least one important thing to be thankful for.
I'm thankful I'm back to normal. I'm fully recovered from whatever bug decided to grab hold of me. I woke up very hungry this morning.
I'm thankful for the quiet day. I finished the notifications early and set out to go shopping. That didn't happen. The car still won't start. Frozen gas lines. I need to wait until the car thaws out now after the deep freeze we were in for three days.
I'm thankful the temps are back in the 20s and low 30s today. It will help thaw my car. Someone mentioned I should have put Heet in the car. Yeah, hindsight is always 20-20. Next time I'll remember the Heet.
Okay, that's been my day. Just relaxing, watching TV, and getting notifications finished.

I'm thankful for the sun that's streaming through the windows.
Although it's cold the sun makes it feel warmer and it doesn't look like a typical winter day.

I'm glad the sun gives you a false illusion of warmth on a typically cold winter day. Staying inside is a good way to foster those illusions. Only step outside when you need to. Unfortunately, it will dash away your illusions when you do. Have a wonderful day.

I've never heard of heet, it must be a gas additive that's poured into the gas tank. Darn, I'm sorry your car isn't starting!

@kobesbuddy It comes in a red bottle. I'll be buying it with every fill-up from now on. I'm not going to let the lines freeze again.

@just4him This is wonderful to hear:) My father use to call it dry-gas. It keeps condensation from getting into your gas tank.

I’m thankful that my son and daughter in law with granddaughter visited me today. Baby girl was napping all the time they were here and woke up in time to kiss me bye bye. They said she’d played hard all morning and needed a good rest.

Ugh, one drawback of extremely cold weather. Either the car overheats in summer or won't start in winter. Oh well, a change in one's routine can be nice. Relaxing in front of the TV is always a good thing too.
I've been doing paperwork, paying bills, and taking an occasional break to feed the birds outside in this sub 20 degree weather. So, I'm thankful the birds stopped by to feed and provide me with a bit of entertainment while working.
