Picked up some smoked gouda cheese the other day at the store. It is a favorite cheese. And it good no matter what you put it on.
I tried some today with an apple. Delicious. Almost as good as with peanut butter.
This will be my new go to when I am looking for something different to eat.
Do you have a favorite cheese? Favorite fruit?

We love smoked gouda cheese ! We get the slices and eat 'em just like that. My favorite was this cheese that Hickory Farms used to put out - Peach Melba - but I don't think it exists anymore. I love peaches, but can't think when I eat fruit with cheese (except in cheesecake ).

I'm not yet we'll rounded in cheeses and so my current favorite has always been swiss. I do try different ones when I can but rarely remember what some taste like. Having it with an apple sounds delicious.

@CarolDM I've not tried them all especially the specialty cheeses but I like what I've tried. Except maybe not extra sharp cheeses.

I think my favorite fruit is a nice, crisp apple. And favorite cheese, it has to be Swiss:) Gourmet Delight had special treats to buy. Jay bought chocolate-cheese, it was homemade!

Oooh, Gouda is soooo good-a! When I went on that sunset cruise in Key West a couple of years ago we had that as one of our appetizers.
That would be my favorite cheese. Watermelon’s my favorite fruit, but I don’t think that goes very well with smoked Gouda.

Apples and cheese go great together! I usually go with white cheddar.

I just read that Gouda cheese is a sweet, creamy, yellow cow's milk cheese originating from the Netherlands. My favourite cheese is Philadelphia Original Soft Cheese.

Have not had smoked Gouda in a long time, Just got my groceries and the best I could do was to blocks of sharp Cheddar and one of Swiss, Then I either eat them by the slice or I grate on different foods,

Favourite cheese.... well I love cheese in general. I love a good mature Cheddar, or Red Leicester, or Double Gloucester, or Gouda, or a crumbly tangy Wensleydale or Lancashire or Caerphilly, or Stilton or Shropshire Blue (definitely the best blue cheese) or Dolcelatte. Or soft goat's cheese or garlic roule.
And if I'm going to eat the fruit with cheese then definitely an apple, a ripe pear or some grapes, or dried figs. But for fruit as a snack on its own then a banana every time.

Yummy! Favorite cheese Snow 6P, which tastes like a mild provolone cheese. Favorite fruit, crisp sweet apple on sale.
