January 15 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Another beautiful quiet day. I woke up to snow flurries this morning. It had snowed since yesterday morning. No accumulation but it looked lovely to see snowflakes dancing in the wind. I'm thankful today for those snow flurries. Of course, I had nothing to do with the snow, but it is lovely to look at. I'm thankful for the sleep I got again last night. I'm going to enjoy these two nights of sleep since I'll be going to bed early tonight and getting up early again tomorrow and the next week as I head back to the pool on Monday. I'm thankful for the sunshine shining in my window warming up my bedroom as I sit here. I'm thankful for getting the notifications done before noon today and visiting with many of you to see what's going on in your world. I'm thankful for the work I did on Where Eagles Soar. I made my work easier today by going through and getting the paragraphs set apart before I got everything else worked out. It took less time to work it out than usual. Though it still took a good amount of time. I'm thankful for the work I did on Love's Illusions. I decided I'm going to finish that novel this year. I've only been working on it off and on since 2001, I think. Maybe longer, maybe not as long. It's time to finish my problem child. I'm thankful I set down my writing goals for this year. My plans are to Edit Where Eagles Soar, New Horizons: Predators and Blue Fire, and Destination Love and Finish Love's Illusions. If I work on anything more, I'll add it to the whiteboard. Okay, that's been my day. Time to get off the computer before I can't see to type as the sun is shining and about to cover my computer. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I tried to send my icy rain and snow to you but some of it's falling here anyway. I'm glad Pretty and I won't need to leave the house until the temps here are above freezing for a couple of days. It started snowing at a little before 3 am. I took a photo at 3 am... We're supposed to get over a foot before Sunday morning.

Thank you for thinking of me. I almost thought we might get in on that action but that's the storm heading for the northeast.

@just4him It's still snowing outside. Maybe if I push a bit more it can still get you, too. You're too far north for me to force it to you but I'm still hoping I can bury Doc Andersen under several feet of snow before the storm ends. Washington is in the direct line of travel for it.

Thank you. I'm going to try hard to finish it this year. It's a romance and I'm not good at writing them. We'll see how it goes.

That's good you can chill and watch football. I really do hope your team wins. I think they're favored to win. I'm glad I can inspire you to write. You'll have something to jam with when the 49ers win.

How you can go from one book to another and continue each one is beyond me. My grandson does the same thing. He’s writing several books right now and has two almost finished. I don’t see how your mind can jump from story to story.

Well that is good that the snow hasn't stuck....and you could enjoy watching it fall. Best of luck with your books and writing this year. I hope to try to write out one of my novel ideas one of these days.

At least despite snowy sun showed up perhaps to cheer everyone chilling from cold temperature. I'm thankful my fever went off and not the virus cause. I praise the Lord.

It's still very cold here. We're in an Arctic blast again for a few days. The sun, though nice to see, means it's very cold. I'd rather see clouds. It's warmer when it's cloudy. I'm glad your fever is gone and it wasn't virus-related.

That is a lot of writing for you to do. I couldn't imagine having so much to write. I have trouble here trying to come up with something to say at times. I'm thankful for the impending snowstorm, to begin sometime after midnight and go through Monday morning. Like you I love the snow have a blessed evening.

The only writing I'm doing will be Love's Illusions. The other three are finished novels that I'm editing to get published one day soon. Where Eagles Soar is the next one I hope to publish. Enjoy the snowstorm. I hope it doesn't interfere with going to church.

@just4him Church services were canceled. It's a good thing as it switched over to freezing rain and sleet around 10 AM and it is still coming down. Our congregation is small, about 20-25 faithful people, 18 of which are 60+. Sammy didn't want to risk any of us being out on the roads or walking in it. I am thankful for that.
