Our luxurious hotel bathroom

The photo shows part of the bathroom in our luxury hotel. We had three nights there and enjoyed our time. We don’t have a bathtub in our new home so we both took the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing bath. There was a shower and toilet in the same room but with glass doors between, and double vanity basins.
As you can see, there was a television at the foot end of the bath although we didn’t bother to switch it on. The circles on the wall contained lights. I would have been battling to count the number of lights in the room. I would hate to be paying the power bill. However, as a guest, it was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Very pretty. Did you mean that you don't have a bathtub in your new home?

Yes. I put bathroom instead of bathtub. I always read through my work but still make silly mistakes

I suppose down under you call a bathroom something else than we do here in the States. A bathroom here is simply a place to relieve ourselves essentially. We usually have half baths and full baths. A half bath would simply be a toilet and a sink while a full bath would be a toilet, sink, and shower or bathtub.
Nice hotel room though.

I meant to say 'bathtub'. We don't usually talk of half or full baths here. A 'powder room' would have a toilet and vanity basin, usually meant for guests to use. An 'ensuite' is toilet and bathroom that opens out to the bedroom so it's private, and a semi-ensuite opens to a bedroom but can also be accessed from another room or passage.

It looks suitable for a nice hotel. I like those ring lights. They are nifty.

And champagne glasses? That’s pretty fancy! And I agree with you: from the pictures you’ve shown, I think I could retire comfortably for five years on one month’s electricity bill for that place!!!!
I’m so glad you got to have a nice getaway to celebrate your anniversary!!!

Your new house only has a shower? That's how our last house was. Not having a bathtub didn't bother us. Since we moved into this house three years ago, I might have taken three tub baths and Pretty may have taken five or six... We both prefer a shower to a bath.

Wow, very posh! Me too, no bubble baths at home, just showers.

@oahuwriter Yes, it is very different. Although growing up on the farm, we only had about four inches of water in the bath and when we'd finished, we'd bucket the water out onto the garden.

Ok. Now with helping environment and saving water, guess, bubble baths, won't be missed. It's different today, then when we were young.

I've never been to a hotel with a bathroom like that. And I thought electricity wasn't advisable in a bathroom, except for the light, because of water and electricity being a dangerous combination?

@sharonelton It is flush with the wall so there is no way it could fall.

@JudyEv OK. As long as there's no chance the telly could fall.
