my sister got a job

my sister had been jobless for almost 2 years because of pandemic. She had worked for the hotel for 5 years and she felt bad when the hotel simply had laid off 50% of its employees. Now, she works as an academic tutor and even if this is not her specialty, she has learned to love it. Am glad she accepted my offer. it is hard to find a job nowadays. the best way to deal with the crisis we have now is to create opportunities for ourselves not to depend on what companies can offer.

@Janet357 save save save. I say this from experience because I should have planned better for my retirement.

true Miss Marilyn. We need to save because even if we retire, the pension is not enough.

@Janet357 Yes. Eeeps. I want to go all "intellectual" here, but I don't know if I have the energy. The bottom line: I enjoy seeing students learn. And a part of that learning involves dialogue.

@Janet357 The corona has done so much damage to people and I am so glad your sister found employment. It is sad that we may not always find what we love but find something to pays and we may learn to love it.

@Janet357 I would say with life as it is if she can find something she loves or can tolerate is fine. I would not agree with you in saying she has to learn to love tutoring because it is not for everyone. I would say she has to find something she can live with to do and tolerate it till she finds what she really wants to do and not what you said. Yes, jobs are hard to find these days and other things as well.

Glad to know that your sister got the job. Yes, this pandemic has taken away the jobs of many people. In this, we need to think constructively to earn money not just depend on the companies to provide us the work and salary.
