my sister had been jobless for almost 2 years because of pandemic. She had worked for the hotel for 5 years and she felt bad when the hotel simply had laid off 50% of its employees.
Now, she works as an academic tutor and even if this is not her specialty, she has learned to love it.
Am glad she accepted my offer. it is hard to find a job nowadays. the best way to deal with the crisis we have now is to create opportunities for ourselves not to depend on what companies can offer.

That's good news to hear and I'm glad your sister enjoys being a tutor. The pandemic really put a lot of people out of work

@Janet357 save save save. I say this from experience because I should have planned better for my retirement.

I would say with life as it is if she can find something she loves or can tolerate is fine. I would not agree with you in saying she has to learn to love tutoring because it is not for everyone. I would say she has to find something she can live with to do and tolerate it till she finds what she really wants to do and not what you said. Yes, jobs are hard to find these days and other things as well.

I'm happy for your sister and glad she accepted your offer. I agree that we should take and even create opportunities for ourselves especially during the pandemic.
You are kind to give her the job offer

Congratulations on your sister getting a job. I agree that we should create opportunities for ourselves. I'm an artist but I haven't tried selling any of my paintings yet, I don't know if I'm good enough yet.

Same pinch! My sister also got a job after 2 years. She was forced to work without pay for 6 months later she decided to leave the job. Now she will be joining a new school as Temporary Teacher ( They call it Leave Teacher )
