Sunshine Day At The Park With Cotton

Another gorgeous day here filled with sunshine. Took a ride over to the park. Visited Cotton, the rescued owl. And Buddy, the red-tailed hawk was there too. They are very well taken care of. Always happy to see them. Animals are so much fun to interact with. Made my day. Photo is mine.

There are being taken care of, by the park rangers. They were injured. They do step during the day, but not all day. They stay in their enclosures.

I'll have to investigate whether there is a wildlife park near us. There is one in the city but that's quite a drive.

She has a lot of rom there and can fly from one side to another, and up on the limbs the rangers made for her.

I think that the red-tailed hawk is probably my favorite bird, besides the golden eagle. We have the World Center Birds of Prey here in Boise. The birds are magnificent.

Good to see Cotton, I am going over my photos and saw one from a long time ago at the Riga Zoo, Seemed similar to Cotton, Could this be the same kind of owl?

My friend takes photos of hawks, snowy owls and eagles. Don't know if I showed you this one before, it's a short-eared Eagle she was able to capture in flight. Very cool!
