My husband and I both like portulacas and our potful of them is beginning to look quite colourful. Most of our plants are doing well although they haven’t been in their positions very long.
Now Vince is trying to put reticulation/irrigation to the various troughs and pots so that they will water automatically if we go away for a few days. Mostly we are only away for one night but when the endurance horse rides start again, then we’ll be away a few days at a time.
Because omicron is now taking off in our state, the first ride has been cancelled so it might be Easter before we go away again. Today, we’re helping Vince’s brother but I’ll be back later.

I always have pots of portulaca on my front porch. I love them.
I hope you have fun today.

I planted potatoes in an old car tyre once. When they were a certain height, I added another tyre and covered them with dirt. They 'set' potatoes at that level then proceeded to grow up above the tyre. In the end I have four tyres and four levels of potatoes.

Thanks. They will die off later and I'll be able to plant something else.

They do look like some I've seen at a friends house @TheSojourner

@rebelann @TheSojourner Yes, they are succulents and usually quite tough and hardy.

They must grow in cold countries too. I'll be buying more next season.

Never heard of portulacas, but they look like something even I could manage to grow! With our restrictions being dropped so fast, I am actually thinking of taking a trip into town. There is an exhibition at the British Museum and I've not been there in over two years

I love portulacas too, bright and simple looking and very easy to care for.
Your pot looks lovely.
Our provincial government is trying to move us out of the restrictions that we have been under, but I wonder about the safety as this virus isn't going anywhere. I just continue to work from home, limit my exposure out and wear my mask and gloves when I am out.

They look better in real life and next time I'll try to get mixed colours rather than all one colour.
