Do you still use tags on your MyLot posts?

When I first started on MyLot (It's been a few years now) I always added a picture. I also always used five tags, or whatever they're called, to draw people with similar interests to my posts.
But more recently I've become more "sloppy." I'm not sure why. Usually I add a picture. Sometimes I don't. I don't often add tags any more.
Do you still add tags to your posts? How do they help? I'm not sure.

Yes, I still use tags. As long as you have tags, you can quickly find posts if you can remember the subject matter you used to tag the discussion.

@TheHorse Not to me. I don't usually go looking through your discussions for anything, but you might.

@DaddyEvil I've written a lot of posts. But I kind of sort of remember when I wrote them.

I cannot say if they help or not, but I do add the tags to my discussions. I am not that much particular about Post-specific tag (like the one I will give to this one) or adding pictures, even though I have seen that relevant pictures always help.

I grew up on Minnie Pearl, so I’ll always have a $1.98 tag on my post.
They help me when I have senior moments (“have i done this theme before?”).

Why five tags? I usually tag all my discussions but I don't use so many tags. Between 1 & 3 usually.
Tagging is good because if people search for a certain tag (keyword) your discussion should come up in the search.

@TheHorse I don't know if many do this but from time to time I go to search and type in a keyword and check out discussions that come up.

I always use tags. They help members see past posts in the same genre or in the same series. For example, if you want to find my "Songs in My Head" you type that in the search bar.

@TheHorse Right next to the "Discuss" on the right-hand side.

I don't usually tag my posts, except if I'm recounting a dream, so that the reader doesn't get confused amd think I'm talking about 'real life'.

I add tags. My friends in the CIA appreciate it...it's an inter-agency code thing...and they build traffic. Not much. Some months, I don't even make $30 million on MyLot but I'm not in it for the money.

@TheHorse If you can't get a job with a real law enforcement agency, the FBI is a fine second choice. You should go for it.

I add tags but more for my own benefit than someone else's. If I can't remember if I've written about something previously I search for any tags I might have used. And sometimes I tell people to search for a particular tag if they're interested in something special.
