These Bee Gees hits are not presented in any special order. Sorry they have been so slow in coming! Today's song is "I've Gotta Get a Message to You" which was released in 1968. It was their first US Top Ten hit. Robin Gibb wrote the lyrics to this unusual song. A man is waiting for his execution in the electric chair. The one thing on his mind is to get a message to his wife. He begs the prison chaplain to convey her a message. "One more hour and my life will be through...Hold on...Hold on." "But if I broke her heart, Then won't you tell her I'm sorry." I love Robin's voice and the plaintive message in the song. Photo Credit: Wikimedia Commons

The Bee Gees were maybe one of the top singers in that wonderful time for music. I think that John Lennon was a genious but as a whole, the Bee Gees were better than The Beatles.

Totally agree that the Bee Gees were better than The Beatles. I never really liked the Beatles as a group.
