Work time over.. waiting for my colleague

Good afternoon from this side of the planet. It's 11:23 AM here as I write this post. It's bright sunny day with pleasant breeze. 
It's getting warmer.
Physical school has started and so I was here at 7:30 AM and now I am done with the work at school. The school will go till 2 pm but I am done and can leave for home. I am just waiting for one of my colleagues to hand me over assessment report of one child from her class. I will take that home and read it later in the evening. She is busy in one class and she should be done by 11:30. So, as I wait for her, I thought of dropping by here.
I choose to walk to work as long as the weather doesn't get too hot. 
. I am missing my morning exercise these days in all hurry to leave for work early. Walking to and fro from the work compensates for that missed exercise.
I would go home and cook lunch. And if husband does not have a break to pick up my younger daughter, I have to take my car at 1 to pick her. I hate that.
. But then husband was pretty sure that he will do it for this week as he has some break in the afternoon. Keeping my fingers crossed
This is the picture of the sun that I clicked on my way to work in the morning. Isn't it beautiful??
Well, time for me to go and pick up the report from my colleague. I should be able to come here in the afternoon to take care of the notifications and read some recent posts

@arunima25 That's not a bad walk, as long as it isn't too hot. When Pretty and I were starting to walk every morning last summer, we started off walking 15 minutes away from the house and the same back again. We just increased that amount ever day until we were walking 40 minutes each way... Then I had a minor heart attack so we stopped walking.

I am glad that you liked it. The sun looked so beautiful.
It takes me 20 to 25 minutes one way. I leave the house at 7:30 to be here around 7:55 or 8. If I walk both ways, I get a good exercise for 45 minutes. Next week I might have to take the car so that I can drop and pick up my daughter. Also I will finish the extra work there till 1 and not bring much work home.

Oh! So happy. Online classes were getting stressful. I am happy that life is back in campus though with masks and new norms. I hope that even those are gone soon

Oh! The online classes were so stressful and monotonous. Now, we are back to lively interactive classes. I just wish that the mask also goes away soon. It would be good to see those smiles and not only guess it from their eyes. Life is back on campus

These days we get to see pleasant bright sun. I am sure that in few days it will be hot here.
My husband could pick her up and that saved my time and trouble of being on road amidst the traffic

I am doing good and happy to be back to the physical classes. We did start the physical classes ( hybrid mode) few times in the last two years. But then after short time we had to shut down due to another wave. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

@DianneN Yes, we chose to be teachers because we hated working on screen.. I love the lively physical classes with all fun filled interactions.
We see a lot of counseling sessions coming up for my elder daughter's college. She has started getting the offer letters for admission. So, we do see ourselves traveling to different cities for different campuses. So, it would be travel but not the vacation kind

Well, this is the last term of the academic year. We close for a summer vacation in April and reopen for a new academic year in June. So, a lot goes into winding up the academic year, planning and setting up for the new academic year and also a lot of new admission formalities go in these two months. Well, it's crazy busy but I am happy to be back to my physical workspace among the students and my colleagues. Working together in space has different energy altogether. Working online was so stressful.

@just4him Good that in my city the summer is only in March and April. And we don't get extreme temperatures. North Indian states get a long summer with extreme temperatures.

My husband did pick her up . The days at work are going busy but productive and satisfying .

My husband was able to do it. That saved me yesterday. Today I had to go and pick her up as husband was out for some work.
