Enjoying some extra sun

We have had warm spring and summer like days this week. Of course it will all change this weekend. Due to some scheduling changes I got to be outdoors with my kiddo twice today I believe it was good for both of us. There are so many health benefits from natural light and a little bit of sun. Our bodies use the sun exposure to manufacture vitamin D. So nice to get it that way. I do hope to enjoy it while it lasts.

I hope it won't become too cold for you but I suppose your area gets 4 seasons rather than 2, right?

Sometimes we get all four seasons in one week. That is life in Kansas. Not too cold, but after 80 degrees, 30's are a shock.

That sounds a lot like a typical week here in January. But we do tend to get icy cold nights and warm sunny days most of our so called winter.

Since I was told to stay out of the sun as much as possible, I take Vitamin D3 every morning with the rest of my meds. (I burn in as little as 15 minutes of direct sun exposure.)

Yes, being outdoors will be a good thing . Getting sun and fresh air too. We had the spring/summer thing too (and now it's turning to be a little wintery for a few days).

If I remember my times in Southern California correctly what people there call cold we call just a bit cool. I hope your few wintery days are not too bad for you.

Whenever I visited Mum at the nursing home, I'd trundle off outside to sit in the sun. So much better than being stuck indoors.

@GardenGerty I meant to say I'd trundle her off outside. I do wish I could stop missing out words.

It also puts you in a better mood! I need warm and sunny days! We are having a nice week but Sunday the rain will start again.

I would rather have some rain than the snow we will get, or the wildfires we are getting.

It's sunny here, too, and it is very nice, even if the temperature is still below freezing (-3°C/26°F). It's supposed to get up to +3°.

They’re talking about another sn*w storm next week…and severe weather…and turning colder…. Just to remind us that winter isn’t finished yet.

You are less likely to get a sunburn at that time.
