I enjoy finding obscure, unusual facts online. Sometimes they might be strange, sometimes informative, sometimes relatable, funny or just odd. Here are some of the latest I found. KEYBOARD SYMBOLS ON LAPTOP -I've noticed there are some very unusual names given to certain symbols on a typing keyboard. Ones like a "carrot"^, "semi-colon", and "at" @. -The symbol @ was first used by bookkeepers to show how many items they were buying or selling. Today, @ is more commonly used to indicate "you" and your online identity. -There is also a name for that little dot above a non-capital "i" and "j". Its identity appears to come from combining 2 words which describe it, "tiny" and "little." -Any idea what the term would be called when you put them together? MISPLACING ITEMS -One constant in my life is always misplacing items. For me it seems to happen at least several times a week. And at times I will waste hours (it feels like the whole day) searching for, and reconstructing where I might have left it. -Anyway, an American survey done using a wireless tracker in 2017 was able to come up with an average number of days one searches for lost items. -Not sure if they ever did a survey in other countries to see who wastes the most time looking? Oh well, any guesses as to how many days a year one wastes in the U.S? -Do you have a habit of misplacing items? -For me, some of the more popular items I can't find are Reading Glasses, Magazines, Car Keys, and my Cell Phone. -What items do you constantly misplace? BTW- I will provide the correct answers in my reply... Source- Best Life Photo- unusual facts

I’m sorry, but I misplaced my brain so I can’t tell you what I misplace all the time. Middle age is like the meme that says, “I bought some memory foam shoes today. Now I’ll be able to remember why I walked into the kitchen.” So I’ll look for every jot and tittle of your reply later….and why can’t you put incorrect answers in your reply?????

Correct Answers: 1. The answer is "tittle" since it is an itty-bitty dot. I believe that's a correct response 2. The average American spends about 2.5 days a year looking for lost items. Looking for your brain might impede your ability to post those music countdowns of yours

I'm always putting things in really safe places. Trouble is they're so safe I can't find them again.

I always knew the @ sign to be for "at." There are some who say it has been used for many, many years to signify "at, to or toward." It is used in emails to signify the location where an email is being sent. john@centralplace.com for example. Or John "at" that website location. In identities it seems to signal who we are directing our comment "at" or "to," which makes sense to me. I could be wrong.
