Trashed tissue box and the guilty culprit

This cold weather is making my cats feisty. Lady discovered my tissue box, and helped herself.
I have had cats unroll toilet paper before, but not these. I do not think I have ever had one pull tissues from a box and shred them, though.
Lady, the guilty one, then hid her head under the footstool.
I cleaned up the mess.
Are your pets ever destructive?

She certainly did. She is very active lately but does not enjoy going outside. I am ready for spring so she will go climb trees and spend her energy.

yes I've had a lot of pets in my time. When I first got Bear my lab back in 2002, he chewed up a DVD. I must have had food smell on it. I had not had much experience with dogs and I screamed at him and he hunkered down scared. Poor thing. He never did that nor chewed anything up after that unless it was his toy. He was a sweet dog and I miss him.

Labs are really smart, and I am sure he learned quickly, and did not like you to be angry.

I am sure he is a good companion. I think Lady needs to go play outside more.

@GardenGerty - Gevi is a very quiet cat, when he comes inside he waits on the door until I place his blanket on the floor before coming in.

It has been a long time since I had one that liked tissues. Angel kitty likes plastic, especially plastic bags.

She sounds very lively. I hope your crash was not horribly significant.

We had a dog that had a love/hate affair with tissues.
We had to keep them in the vanity as she couldn't open the door.
If they were left out, or if you put one into the garbage, she would get it and shred it to lint.
We got into the habit of flushing them after we used them.

It is funny what they are attached to.

Maybe she just needed to blow her nose and had trouble manipulating the tissues with her claws.
Pretty keeps telling the guppies that I'm not going to feed them and then watches to see if they climb out of their tank to reach their food themselves.
Pretty isn't very nice!

Wiggle Butt kitten found a roll of paper towels that I left in the back room. He has a few pulled off now.

Why are cats attracted to cardboard boxes? I still can't figure it out:)

In this case the tissues were the attraction, otherwise it must be they feel cozy in a box.

@GardenGerty Oh yes, that's right! Because you also said they pulled the toilet paper, one time:)

Yes, they do. Head Start in our building made tissue box guitars a few weeks ago.

We never had a problem with destructive pets until we brought Sophie home. When she was teething, she chewed on everything. She ruined a pair of my slippers, a pair of K's reading glasses, one of my jackets, some floor mats, and loved to pull the toilet paper roll.

I know that some pets also destroy table legs and rungs of chairs.
