Dream Job.

At the age of seven I wanted to become a policewoman - I have no idea why. As l grew older my dream job changed a few times finally settling on : 'A job which entailed travelling the world while living in top class hotels. I did not realize that dream, instead l started out as a news reporter---a job which did involve some travelling - but mostly in home country. What would be the job of your dreams? Have you come anywhere near that dream? Which job would you never want to have? For me, that answer is - a policewoman. Image by pixabay.

Really! Which aspect of Healthcare? Helping people is naturally in my nature, but l admit l am too squeamish to be a nurse or a doctor. It pains me to see people in pain.

When I was a kid I wanted to become a ballet dancer, I was fascinated and I had all intention to get lessons and do this. Of course my parents thought it was a silly idea and I think they were right. Growing up I loved drawing and I wanted to become an architect and later an interior designer. I ended up doing language school and working in a office as a translator... there I met my husband.

@Kandae11 I was very young when I wanted to be a ballerina, possibly because one of my school mates was following classic dance lessons and I was fascinated by the little shoes and the costume.

@LadyDuck l am a fan of ice skating. To me those skaters must have had some ballerina training. I am fascinated by what they do on ice because l know that is something l could never do.

That was meant to be.Through your job you met your husband , and you are still together. My mother had fantasies about me being a ballerina, l did not want to be. So at the ripe old age of 13 she sent me to classes - l quit after three lessons.

@RebeccasFarm The policewoman thing was my kid dream -- as l grew older l faced reality. The girl in the picture looks as if she is imagining herself in her dream job or some other very pleasant prospect.

Some jobs do not make you feel as if you are working, because it is something you really love doing. No, no - l would not have made a good policewoman , not physically tough enough and soft hearted to boot ha.

I don't remember ever having a "dream job" when I was younger. What I ended up doing was working in customer service jobs. I like to think I'm good at working with people and enjoy doing that. People seem to like me and try to help me do my job well.

@Kandae11 Believe it or not, I was shy all through school. I finally started forcing myself to talk to strangers... I treat people like my friends and they usually become friends. *shrug*

The important thing is actually liking the job you do - then naturally you would give it your best. You are what one would call - ' A people person'. You are comfortable dealing with people.

Oh, I had big dreams. I wanted to be on the big screen in Holywood in fact while at my first job in NYC I also attended the Academy of Dramatic Arts at night. I lasted there for two years and then got booted out and that was the end of my acting dream. However, if I had gotten my diploma at the end of four years I have no idea what I would have done, Can you just picture me packing up my mom and us heading to Califonia and me walking around the studios with my diploma

When I was young I dream of many toys, playmates. Job wanting wasn't in my mind. It was only after high school graduation, I realized I want to become a lawyer or a Chemist. I Iove to talk and debate. I also love Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics but I didn't fulfill my dream to become a lawyer though I had taken the hardest qualifying exam and passed after I finished BA Mathematics minor in Physics. To make a story short I landed into teaching so tiresome job especially this pandemic classes online, no time control despite knowledge of the students of the House Rules. I just live dreaming of my shattered dream to become a lawyer. How I like to be called Attorney

I remember we have to write our "ambition" every year when I was in elementary school, and I always wrote "teacher". At that time, I actually didn't think of "dream job" or if I would like teaching, I just thought it would be okay to be a teacher. Perhaps no other job interested me at that time. When I grew older only I found out I enjoy teaching or sharing what I have known with others. I was a programmer before I became a stay-at-home mom. Now I homeschool my children, so it's sort of like doing my "dream job" now. I would never want to be a policewoman too.

I wanted to be a foreign correspondent or an airline flight attendant. I have traveled quite a bit but I never got paid for it! I also wanted to be in the Peace Corps and I interviewed for Vista a US version, but that program was discontinued. I had a friend who worked in it, and she only lasted 8 months. She said the working conditions were terrible.
